Epworth Hospital

The Epworth Hospital, situated in the heart of East Melbourne, undertook a significant construction project featuring a state-of-the-art facility. The project included a 7-level basement with foundation & retention piles ranging from 26 to 40 metres deep and up to 1200 mm in diameter. This endeavour was marked by its complexity and demanding schedule, necessitating precise execution under stringent constraints.

Strict tolerances, with verticality requirements as precise as 1%, governed the project’s parameters. Drilling operations faced considerable challenges due to severe water ingress conditions. Despite these challenges, our team successfully delivered on schedule, ensuring the project’s integrity and quality.
